Puzzle Race begins at 1 p.m.

SEARSPORT — Puzzlers of all ages are invited to join Carver Memorial Library on Saturday, March 28, for the Third Annual Puzzle Palooza.

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Library will host a puzzle swap, where you can take one puzzle for every one you bring.

At 1 p.m., the Puzzle Race begins. Teams of up to four will compete to see who can finish their 550 piece puzzle first. All teams will get to keep their puzzle and the winning team will win a "fabulous" prize, according to the Library, in a news release.

WRFR 93.3 to host a “Public Party” at the Flanagan Community Center

Rockland’s community radio station, WRFR 93.3, is hosting a “Public Party” at the Flanagan Community Center on Saturday, March 21. The event, which runs from 1 to 5 p.m., is open to all, with free admission.

“This is a community get-together, a chance for people to meet their Rockland neighbors and enjoy an afternoon of live local music, fun and games for all ages, local arts and crafts, food and drink - very informal, come when you can,” says station manager Joe Steinberger, in a news release.

Certified end-of-life doula Kelly Osborn will explore the many functions that the role entails during a presentation, Thursday, March 26, at 2 p.m., at Rockland Public Library.

According to a Library news release, end-of-life doulas provide many forms of aid, including emotional, spiritual, and psychosocial support; practical planning and guidance; presence and comfort during the dying process; and bereavement and after-death support.

"Come with questions," said RPL, in the news release.

Camden-Rockport Middle School will present Rotten Apples, by Tracy Wells, on March 27 and 28, at 6 p.m., and March 29, at 1 p.m., in the Bisbee Auditorium at CRMS. The production is directed by Michelle Leeman and is open to the public.

Rotten Apples is a fast-paced comedic mystery that brings together a cast of recognizable, larger-than-life characters who are forced to face the music for their misdeeds while being blackmailed into solving a puzzling crime.

For the 35th year, Adas Yoshuron Synagogue will sponsor an Easter Day Community Dinner, April 5, from 12:30-2:30 p.m., at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 11 White Street, Rockland.

The first presentation entitled, “My Favorite Vegetables: Growing Gourmet,” will take place Wednesday, March 11, at 1 p.m., in the library’s lower level. All programs in this series, held monthly from March through June, are free and open to the public.
