Paul Benjamin, producer of Rockland’s renowned North Atlantic Blues Festival, will present Blues Night featuring 10x Blues Music Award recipient and Grammy-nominated singer, bassist, and songwriter Danielle Nicole at Watts Hall in Thomaston on Friday, September 25. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with music beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Hailing from Kansas City, Missouri, Danielle Nicole first gained international recognition as a member of the award-winning blues-rock band Trampled Under Foot, which she formed with her brothers. She later launched a successful solo career, establishing herself as one of contemporary blues music’s most acclaimed performers.

Her 2015 solo debut, “Wolf Den,” reached No. 2 on the Billboard Blues chart. Her follow-up album, “Cry No More,” debuted at No. 1 and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Contemporary Blues Album. Her latest release, “Fireflies,” was released in 2026 on Forty Below Records.

A powerhouse vocalist and accomplished bassist, Danielle Nicole has received eight Blues Music Awards over the course of her career, including honors for Bass Instrumentalist and Contemporary Blues Female Artist. Guitar World has praised her “soulful, inventive playing and tireless work ethic,” while blues legend Koko Taylor once said of Danielle Nicole, “That girl gets down to the nitty gritty.”

Blues Night is presented by Paul Benjamin, longtime producer of the North Atlantic Blues Festival, and brings nationally and internationally recognized blues artists to the intimate setting of Watts Hall.

Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 on the day of the show. Space is limited, and advance ticket purchases are encouraged. Tickets and additional information are available at https://wattshallthomaston.com.
