BELFAST — Take in the early fall beauty as you roll, stroll, run, or skip down the rail trail in Belfast, Sept. 12, starting at 8:30 a.m. The Start is the head of the Belfast Rail Trail at the Depot Station, 13 Oak Hill Road, Belfast.
"All are welcome to join our vibrant community of volunteers, donors, and the wider community to benefit Hospice Volunteers of Waldo County," said the Hospice Volunteers, in a news release.
"It's a flexible 5k, and you don’t have to be a runner to participate," said Hospice. "You choose your duration, your speed, and your traveling companions. Strollers, wheelchairs, mobility scooters, bikes, and foot scooters are all welcome to join in the family-friendly fun."
All participants will be entered into a drawing for locally made mini-pies.
Suggested donation of $25. The run map, information, and registration online is available at www.runbelfast.org.
Hospice Volunteers of Waldo County is working with RunBelfast, which organizes runs throughout the season.
"We are grateful to the RunBelfast 2026 race series held in Belfast, Maine, for including us in their series of races," said Hospice.
