Knox County Criminal Docket closed cases
ROCKLAND – The following cases were closed in Knox County Court from Aug. 21-28.
Michael Robinson, 65, of Rockland, pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor charges of driving a plow truck (with the plow down) too close to political protestors that caused snow and ice to strike multiple people, some with enough force to knock them to the ground in Chapman Park in Rockland on Feb. 21.
Robinson was arrested on the same day by Rockland Police on the charges of felony reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon and driving to endanger. He was released on $1,000 bail.
Under the plea agreement reached with the district attorney’s office and defense, Robinson will be fined $600 if he meets the terms of a two-year deferred disposition. If he violates the terms of the agreement, he could be sentenced to up to one year in jail.
The plea agreement dismissed a felony charge of reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon and a misdemeanor charge of driving to endanger.
The terms of the plea agreement include that Robinson must undergo complete mental health and anger management evaluations to be completed within 60 days. A report of the evaluation must be sent to the district attorney’s office to determine if further treatment is necessary and if so, the treatment must be completed as prescribed.
Robinson is scheduled to appear in Knox County Court again on Aug. 31, 2028 for a dispositional hearing. If he has met the conditions of the plea agreement, he will only be fined at the hearing.
