There’s plenty happening at Watts Hall this week, with two very different ways to spend some time at the Hall.

On Wednesday, September 9 at noon, Watts Hall Community Arts welcomes the Georges River Land Trust for September’s free Brown Bag Lunch, “For the Love of Our River.” Learn more about what makes the Georges River so special and discover some of GRLT’s innovative programs, from foraging workshops and wild food dinners to outdoor printmaking and opportunities to get up close with the wildlife that calls the river home.

Bring your lunch and join us. Sweets and drinks will be provided, and the program is free and open to the public. Brown Bag Lunches are held on the second Wednesday of each month, except December, July, and August.

Then, on Friday, September 11 at 7:00 pm, get ready to laugh as clean stand-up comedy comes to Thomaston for one night only. Nashville-based comedian Lee Hardin takes the Watts Hall stage with relatable jokes and stories that are a great fit for a wide range of audiences. Hardin has shared the stage with comedians including Henry Cho, Ryan Hamilton, and Nate Bargatze, and his comedy special “Not Quite A Grown-Up” was released by Dry Bar Comedy in 2019.

Hardin will be joined by opening act Bryan Brothers.
