Celebrate Fall, music, local history at Camden-Rockport Historical Society’s ‘Harvest at the Homestead’
Event Date
Saturday, October 24, 2026 - 02:00 pm to 04:00 pm
Community members, families and history enthusiasts are invited to the Camden-Rockport Historical Society campus Saturday, October 24, from 2 to 4 p.m. for Harvest at the Homestead, a free, casual autumn gathering as the historic grounds get ready for winter.
Set on approximately four scenic acres straddling the Camden and Rockport town line along Route 1, the CRHS complex serves as an active living-history campus and community gathering space.
The grounds are located immediately adjacent to Camden Hannaford and across the street from Maritime Farms.

Fire Pit, Warm Food, Live Music & Historic Tours
Visitors are encouraged to gather around the outdoor fire pit for an informal afternoon of good food and neighborly conversation. Warm soup, hot cider, and other seasonal foods will be provided to share. Attendees are also welcome to bring along their favorite items to cook over the open flames for yourself or to share with others—foil-packet meals, hot dogs, sausages, and skewers are all welcome. Marshmallow roasting will be on hand for children and families.
The afternoon will feature live music by local singer-songwriter Sar D. Jo, a Lincolnville resident known for her versatile blend of original music and covers spanning blues, jazz, folk, and pop.
All historic campus buildings will be open to explore, including:
- Homestead
- The 1880 barn
- The 1820 working maple sugar house
- The historic blacksmith shop
- The museum archives, featuring regional artifacts, maps, historic photographs, and books available for purchase by local historian Barbara Dyer and others. Books available for purchase.
