Camden Public Library, in partnership with Hog Island Audubon Camp, will host the Tern the Page Book Club for the club's Fall in-person and virtual gatherings. Tern the Page Book Club is a book club for nature enthusiasts and bird nerds who are excited to learn and build community throughout the year.

Each season, one book that connects to the book club’s themes will be featured. There will be two meetings for each title: an in-person discussion at Camden Public Library (tea and coffee provided!) and a virtual ‘Meet the Author’ Q&A session over Zoom.

The Fall in-person meeting will take place on Friday, Oct. 23, from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m., and will discuss Lorna Gibson’s novel, Birds Up Close: An Engineer Explores Their Hidden Wonders. Gibson, a renowned engineer and lifelong birder, reveals the marvel of how birds work—from the tips of their beaks to the sheen of their tailfeathers, according to Camden Public Library, in a news release.

The Oct. 23 meeting is the book club meeting; the author will not be present.

All are welcome.

Registration for this free event is available on the Camden Public Library website.
