Peopleplace Cooperative Preschool

We welcome you to be a partner in your child’s first educational experience.

At Peopleplace, we believe an excellent education fosters the unique and creative potential of every child, nurturing both their social and emotional development as well as their academic foundation. Our goal is to create a love of learning in our children that lasts their lifetime.

Peopleplace is a licensed, accredited preschool for children age eighteen months to five years old. We also offer a weekly program for infants and their parents and a daily after school program for kindergartners. Peopleplace has chosen to remain small, offering young children a gentle transition from home to school, where they will not be overwhelmed by large numbers of children or much older children sharing facilities and playground.

Peopleplace operates on a school year calendar, mostly in-line with the local MSAD #28 public school schedule (with some exceptions). Enrollment for the following year starts in the early spring. Admissions are based on a first-come first-served basis. An “in-house” registration period is offered to all current families at which time younger siblings may also be enrolled. Following this initial offering, enrollment is open to any new families. Children entering the toddler program must be 18 months by September 1st. Children entering the preschool program must be 3 years of age in September.

The registration fee and the first month’s tuition must be paid to secure a spot for your child. The registration fee must be supplied with application to formally be on the waitlist. That check will be deposited at that time and reimbursed if no spot is available for your child. First month’s tuition is due August 1st. Tuition assistance is available and will be determined in mid-June, deadline for that application is June 1st. Please contact the Peopleplace office by phone, e-mail or in person for more information or to schedule a visit. Information is also available on our website at www.peopleplacecoop.org.
