Knox County Commissioners to accept Administrator's resignation
The Knox County Commission received a letter of resignation from County Administrator Amber Christie. Her resignation will be effective October 30, 2026.
The Commissioners will meet at 5 p.m., October 1, to vote to accept the resignation. Over the next 30 days, Christie will remain available to assist with wrapping up ongoing projects and supporting a smooth transition, the Commissioners said, in an Oct. 1 news release.
"The Commission, county leadership and county staff will be working to ensure that county services continue uninterrupted as we navigate the transition," the Commissioners said, in the release.
The Knox County Commission will begin discussing the long-term process and timeline for filling the Administrator position in the coming weeks.
