Open houses at Gibson Preserve cabin Wednesday mornings in October

Wednesday, October 07, 2026 - 08:00 am to 10:00 amSEARSMONT — Georges River Land Trust (GRLT) invites you for coffee and pastries at Gibson Preserve in Searsmont every Wednesday morning in October, from 8 - 10 a.m.
These informal gatherings will take place at the land trust’s cabin at the preserve. Community members are invited to start their day with coffee, breakfast treats, and a tour of the property and building which has been used over the past year as an educational site and office for the land trust.
"Come explore the riverside trails of Gibson Preserve and start your day with a hot cup of coffee in our homey cabin," said GRLT.
GRLT’s Stewardship Manager, Natalie Curry, and Land Conservation Manager, Linnea Patterson, will be available on site to answer questions about the land trust’s upcoming and recent conservation projects, community programs, trail maintenance, and land management practices.
"The team would love to hear about your experiences living in the St. George River watershed," said GRLT, in a news release.

The open houses will be on the following dates: October 7, October 14, October 21, October 28.
Georges River Land Trust has been conserving and caring for the St. George River watershed since 1987. The land trust has conserved over 5,700 acres of forest, farm, and shoreline, and provides over 80 miles of public trails in 19 towns from Cushing to Liberty.
