The Medomak seventh grade baseball team won their divisional semi-final matchup against Belfast’s Troy Howard Middle School.

Medomak won the contest by a score of 4-2. The lone hit for Medomak in the game was Jaydiin Ruiz with a double.

Carter Jackson, Cole Escancy, Parker Eaton, and Riley Nelson scored the four runs for Medomak with all reaching base by walking.

Pitching for Medomak was Devin Benedix, who went 6 1/3 innings allowing two runs on three hits while striking out seven. Colby Simmons entered the game in relief to get the final two outs. He only needed six pitches to do so, and registered a strikeout.

Medomak now awaits the winner of Boothbay vs Bristol in the divisional championship.
