BELFAST — The Waldo County Sheriffs Department reported the following activity June 19-28.

An arrest or summons does not constitute a conviction, and those charged are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Juveniles aged 17-or-younger are not named. 

June 19

Nicholas A. Singel, 22, was issued summonses for leaving the scene of a property damage accident, failure to give notice of a crash by quickest means, and unlawful possession of a scheduled drug on Crosby Brook Road in Unity. 

Michael W. Embry, 21, of Unity, was issued summonses for possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and unlawful possession of a scheduled drug on Crosby Brook Road in Unity. 

June 24

Larry G. Alexander, 64, of Knox, was arrested for gross sexual assault and kidnapping in Knox, stemming from an incident June 20. 

June 25

Derek W. Wilson, 40, of Freedom, was issued a summons for assault on Belfast Road in Freedom.
