Domestic assault draws emergency personnel to Rockland neighborhood
ROCKLAND — Rockland Police were called to 17 James Street, in Rockland, just prior to 9:45 a.m., Sunday, May 11, for a report of domestic violence among three adults. While still en route, PD was informed of the possibility that knives were involved.
Upon arrival, police encountered a male with lacerations to his neck and stomach and was initially in and out of consciousness before returning to full consciousness. Wounds were later determined to be non-life threatening.
After requesting an ambulance for the male, police then requested a second ambulance to assess a female who'd been punched in the face. For that second request, Rockland EMS responded with an ambulance and a fire truck, and a request for off-duty EMS call team members to come to the scene. Subsequently, the patient declined further medical care at the scene, and the Fire/EMS units returned to their station.
