Town Manager and Select Board
Camden has a Select Board/Town Manager form of government. The Town Manager is the chief administrative officer of the Town, responsible to the Select Board for the management of all Town affairs as provided for in the Town Charter. The Manager, working with individual department directors, is also responsible for the performance of the Town departments.

Town Code and Town Charter
The Town’s code is a collection of local laws that are enforced locally in addition to state and federal laws. The Town Charter is the guiding document for governmental operations. Any proposed changes or amendments to the charter are brought before the citizens for a vote prior to adoption.
