CAMDEN, MAINE - Maine Water Company and property owners of 39 Main Street requested the town open the Montgomery Dam gate beginning Aug. 11, 2025, for their projects.
The gate will remain open until Aug. 29 to allow safe working conditions for water line work under the Route 1 bridge and to make repairs to the building supports, etc., at 39 Main St.
The dry weather conditions this week have provided ideal conditions for this work, which requires special safety measures to ensure the area remains free of flowing or standing water for worker safety.
