Paid parking in Camden ends Oct. 15

Wed, 10/15/2025 - 3:40pm

Camden's expanded paid parking officially concludes for the 2025 season today, Oct. 15. Beginning Thursday, Oct. 16, parking downtown reverts to free two-hour parking in all spaces unless otherwise noted. Enforcement continues through the winter and drivers are reminded that shuffling to a nearby parking space after two hours is a violation of the town ordinance and subject to a fine.

Downtown workers and business owners are encouraged to park all day in either the parking lot next to the fire station or behind the Knox Mill. Both lots are public, owned by the town.

Paid parking picks back up again May 15, 2026. Residents with free two-hour parking permits will be reminded in the spring about how to park with a permit, options for initiating a session (either at a kiosk or with the ParkMobile app), and how to renew their permit for 2026. Resident permit renewals are tied to vehicle registration expiration and renewal dates and details on how to easily renew a permit onine or in person will come in April.

To sign up for a resident permit for vehicles registered in Camden, visit ParkCamden.com or stop in the town office. By signing up now and creating an account, residents will be assured of timely communication about 2026 permits.
