My name is Tom Wagner and I am running for County Commissioner in Waldo County District 1 [Belfast, Belmont, Islesboro, Lincolnville, Northport and Waldo].

Taxes are  too high and seem to be headed higher. The current Board of Commissioners is looking for another increase to the budget (as much as 20%) on top of last year's increase. I am firmly opposed to this.

For me, the issue is not Republican or Democrat, it's the budget. They are spending more money than the average family can afford in property taxes.

If you don't want to see your tax bill continue to grow, vote for me. Above all, please get out and vote. Your vote does matter. If you don't vote, don't complain about the results or consequences!

I am not spending a lot of money on a campaign or taking donations. Just a few signs, word of mouth and editorials were possible.
