Dr. Roger Rittmaster will lead an outdoor presentation on "Identifying Backyard Insects", Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 12 p.m., at Merryspring Nature Center. 

Rittmaster is a retired endocrinologist with a lifelong interest in nature photography. Since moving to Camden 15 years ago, he has focused on “bringing nature home” to his backyard and has photographed over 1000 species of insects there, according to a Merryspring news release. 

In this two-part presentation, Rittmaster will first give a 45-minute slide talk on how to identify insects and other bugs in your yard and then lead the group on a walk to identify insects in Merryspring’s gardens. 

This in-person talk is part of the Summer Talk Series generously sponsored by Camden Riverhouse Hotel.

Attendance is free for members; $10 for non-members.
