The Metropolitan Opera’s 2025–26 Live in HD season continues at the Strand Theatre with a simulcast of Puccini’s La Bohème on Saturday, Nov. 8, at 1 p.m. An encore screening will be presented Thursday, Nov. 20, at 5 p.m. Tickets are on sale now, and reserved seats are offered for the live transmission.
La Bohème is the most performed opera at the Met, according to the Strand.
"With its enchanting setting and spellbinding score, the world’s most popular opera is as timeless as it is heartbreaking," said the Strand. "Franco Zeffirelli’s picture-perfect production brings 19th-century Paris to the Met stage as Puccini’s young friends and lovers navigate the joy and struggle of bohemian life. Soprano Juliana Grigoryan makes her company role debut as the feeble seamstress Mimì, opposite tenor Freddie De Tommaso, also in his company role debut, as the ardent poet Rodolfo.
Keri-Lynn Wilson conducts the November 8 performance, which will be transmitted live from the Met stage to cinemas worldwide. Tenor Matthew Polenzani will host the transmission, sharing exclusive behind-the-scenes content and interviews during the two intermissions.
Estimated run time for the performance is 3 hours 30 minutes, including the intermissions. More information can be found on the Strand Theatre website at www.RocklandStrand.com.
