Wednesday, Sept. 23, at 7 p.m., Blue Raven Gallery, in Rockland, will host poets George Bilgere and Kimberly Priest for the gallery's final poetry reading of the 2026 season. The event is hosted by poet Bruce Willard.
"In the spirit of Billy Collins, George Bilgere’s poems tickle with insight and rock with humor," said a Blue Raven news release.Poet of six collections of poems, Bilgere is host of the internet column Poetry Town, and the podcast, Wordplay. He is also the recipient of a NEA fellowship and a Pushcart prize.
Kimberly Priest is author of two poetry collections.
"Winner of the Backwaters Poetry Prize, her haunting new poems chart a woman’s journey from violence and abuse through homelessness, trauma, and survival," said the news release.
