Belfast Police beat

    BELFAST — Belfast Police reported two traffic infractions from Jan. 5-15. One citation was issued for an operator using a handheld electronic device, while the other was issued for failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle. In addition to the two traffic infractions, the following activity was reported. 

    An arrest or summons does not constitute a conviction, and those charged are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Juveniles aged 17-or-younger are not named.

    Jan. 5

    Mark White, 32, of Morrill, was issued a summons for operating after suspension on Oak Hill Road. 

    Christopher J. Lawrence, 39, of Belfast, was issued summonses for refusing to submit to arrest or detention, unlawful possession of a schedule W drug, and violating a condition of release on Belmont Ave. 

    Jan. 6

    Mario G. Pantoja, 24, of Belfast, was arrested for failure to appear. 

    Jan. 10

    Brandon L. McDowell, 41, of Cambridge, Massachusetts, was arrested for failure to appear. 

    Meisha L. Rice, 39, of Belfast, was arrested for two counts of failure to appear.

    Jan. 11

    Jeffrey W. Rumney, 54, of Belfast, was arrested for operating under the influence and operating without a license in violation of condition/restriction on Franklin Street in Belfast.
