BELFAST — New York Times best-selling authors Tess Gerritsen and Kate Miles will be in conversation Thursday, Nov. 2, at Left Bank Books in downtown Belfast, to celebrate the release of Gerritsen’s brand new thriller, The Spy Coast. The event, which is free, begins at 6 p.m.

Gerritsen is back with a brand-new espionage series about retired CIA operative Maggie Bird and her colleagues—the Martini Club—which launches with The Spy Coast (release date November 1). Taking place on the Maine coast, Maggie finds herself and former colleagues in danger as a result of an agency breach that took place sixteen years ago. 

Gerritsen is the internationally bestselling writer of thirty novels published in forty countries. She made her New York Times bestseller debut with her first medical thriller Harvest, in 1966. Her series of police procedurals featuring Boston homicide detective Jane Rizzoli and medical examiner Maura Isles inspired the TNT hit television series “Rizzoli & Isles.”

Joining Gerritsen in conversation will be Kate Miles, award-winning journalist and author whose most recent book, Trailed, was the 2023 Maine Literary Awards winner for nonfiction.
