Classic film screening at Rockland library: The Passion of Joan of Arc
ROCKLAND — The Rockland Public Library presents a screening of The Passion of Joan of Arc, Thursday, June 6, at 6 p.m. This event is free and open to all.
Join staff in the Community Room or via Zoom for a screening of a cinematic landmark. Directed by Carl Theodor Dreyer and starring Renée Jeanne Falconetti, The Passion of Joan of Arc portrays Joan’s capture by the English, trial, and execution during the Hundred Years’ War. Since its release in 1928, it has regularly been listed among the greatest films ever made, according to RPL, in a news release.
This event will be held in-person at the Rockland Public Library, located at 80 Union Street, and simultaneously screened over Zoom. For more information or to request Zoom links, please email elewis@rocklandmaine.gov by 4 p.m. on June 6.
