Midcoast Community Chorus aims to foster hope and uplift the spirit

Pen Bay, Waldo sponsor “Hope Sings” concert

ROCKPORT — Pen Bay Medical Center and Waldo County General Hospital are the presenting sponsors of Midcoast Community Chorus’s “Hope Sings!” concert, to be held Sunday, June 16, at 4 p.m., in the Strom Auditorium, at Camden Hills Regional High School, 25 Keelson Drive, Rockport.

This uplifting performance features selections from “Sing for the Cure,” a song cycle that explores many perspectives of a breast cancer patient’s journey. The event seeks to raise awareness about cancer while fostering hope and uplifting the spirit.

“Cancer touches the lives of virtually every person in our community in some way,” said Marcie Deemer, MHA, RN, OCN, director of Oncology at Pen Bay and Waldo, in a news release. “We are inspired everyday by the courage and fortitude of our patients and are honored to be trusted with their care.”

Tickets for this concert are on sale now at mccsings.org/tickets.
