CAMDEN — Megunticook Rowing’s Row the Coast will wrap up on Camden's Village Green on Saturday, June 1, from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

“Come by and check out the action they’ll have ergs set up so you can try it out for yourself,” said Megunticook Rowing, in a news release.

Members of the Megunticook Rowing high school, club, and masters rowers have racked up more than 5,597,000 meters (the approximate length of the Maine coast). Now it's time to reward all the Megunticook rowers for their efforts this winter and spring, said the release.

“Help them sprint to the $5,597 goal to buy new oars and other vital equipment,” said Megunticook.

Donations will help Megunticook Rowing reach the fundraising goal to buy new equipment – they need new grips for their current sets of oars. They need new oars to replace some very, very old oars that are beyond repair. The middle and high school programs have grown by 12 rowers this year. Megunticook Rowing will need this equipment to make sure everyone can get on the water.
