Annual cookout fundraiser to benefit Thomaston Public Library, June 1
THOMASTON — The Friends of the Thomaston Public Library will be holding their annual cookout fundraiser on Saturday, June 1, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. (or until sold out) at the Thomaston Public Library, at 60 Main Street, Thomaston, in conjunction with the Rockland Kiwanis Club Yard Sale, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The suggested donation for a hot dog, hamburger, or veggie burger along with chips, coleslaw, iced tea or lemonade, and strawberry shortcake is $10 per person, or $30 max per family. Everyone is welcome, regardless of ability to donate. Food will be served rain or shine. There will also be a 50/50 raffle, with tickets for sale for $1 each or 6 for $5.
All cookout and raffle proceeds will support to The Friends of the Thomaston Public Library, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to support the goals, financial health, and programming of Thomaston Public Library, particularly the 11th annual 40 Days of Summer program, which provides free summer meals and activities for any school-age children in the community.
