Authors Robert Klose, Robin Clifford Wood to discuss “Breaking Through the Block: How Writers Write”

Event has passed

BELFAST — On Tuesday, June 4, at 6:30 p.m., the Belfast Free Library presents “Breaking Through the Block: How Writers Write,” a conversation between authors Robert Klose and Robin Clifford Wood. This event will take place in the Abbott Room of the Library and is free and open to all.

Robert Klose and Robin Clifford Wood have written dissimilar books: Trigger Warning by Klose is a work of fiction, and The Field House: A Writer’s Life Lost and Found on an Island in Maine by Wood is biography with a slice of memoir. But no matter the genre, good writing manages to keep the reader engaged. This is what will drive the conversation between these two Maine authors.

What exactly is it that constitutes good writing? The authors will also explore where ideas come from, their writing techniques and schedules, and how one gets started, in other words, how one grapples with the beast of “writer’s block.”

There will be ample time for audience contributions and questions.

For more information please call the Library at 207-338-3884 ext. 10.
