Join Camden Hills State Park staff for a history-focused ramble through the Sagamore (shore side) section of the park, Aug. 19, from 10 - 10:45 a.m.

Learn about the work of the Civilian Conservation Corps and landscape architect Hans Heisted to develop the first sections of Camden Hills State Park between 1936 and 1941. The tour will view remnants of the landscape design including water features, fireplaces, and “stone furniture”. 

Please wear sturdy shoes and be prepared for an approximately 1 mile walk, said the Park, in a news release. Meet at the stone entry booth, 280 Belfast Ave. (Route 1), at 10 a.m.
