Victoria Wyeth to talk on 'Maine Summers with the Wyeths'

Thursday, August 13, 2026 - 02:30 pmPenobscot Bay YMCA presents "Maine Summers with the Wyeths: A Lecture by Victoria Wyeth" on Thursday, Aug. 13, at 2:30 p.m., in the Camden Rotary Community Room in Rockport.
Light refreshments will be served during the talk by Victoria Browning Wyeth – the only grandchild of Andrew Wyeth – who brings the Wyeth legacy to life through intimate stories, family photographs, and firsthand accounts drawn from years of conversations with her grandfather and uncle.
Admission to the afternoon lecture is $25, and limited tickets can be reserved online here. All proceeds will benefit thePenobscot Bay YMCA's vital summer camp program.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to support your local YMCA while celebrating my family’s deep love and appreciation for the Maine landscape,” says Victoria Wyeth, in a YMCA news release. “I hope you’ll join me in supporting a cause that is very close to my heart: giving deserving children the chance to experience the joy, adventure, and lifelong memories of camp.”
Financial assistance and scholarships ensure that no child is turned away based on the ability to pay for a summer camp experience that includes swimming, hiking, arts and crafts, field games, STEM projects, nutrition education, and field trips to beaches, parks, and local attractions.
