Debbie J. Johnson

PEMAQUID — Debbie J. Johnson, 66, of Pemaquid, passed away at home on August 11, 2026 with family by her side. She was born July 30, 1960 in Rockland, Maine, a daughter of the late Robert and Sandy Stover.

She grew up in Rockland, attended school there and graduated from Rockland high School in 1979. She moved to Pemaquid in 1995 where she worked as a caregiver. She loved to watch the birds, crocheting, playing board games and card games with her granddaughter Jasmine. Debbie’s greatest love in life was for her kids and grandkids.

She was predeceased by her husband, Carly Johnson; son, James Johnson; and grandson Joseph Johnson.

Debbie is survived by her daughter, Jackie Pomelow; sister, Donna Steele and husband Steven; brother, Robbie Stover, daughter-in-law Angela Barstow; grandchildren Isabelle Bathgate and husband Logan, Jasmine Pomelow, Maddie Griffin; great grand children Lacey Johnson, and Korbin Bathgate; sisters-in-law Jeannie Fowles and husband Wayne, Donna Masterson and husband Jim, Linda Jellison and husband Kenny; brothers-in-law Squashy Johnson and Rusty Johnson; many nieces and nephews; and good friends Michelle Reilly and Terry Lagasse.

A celebration of life for Debbie will be held on Saturday, September 12, at 1 p.m., at the North Nobleboro Community Hall, 554 Upper East Pond Road, Nobleboro.
