Quarry Hill will host novelist Isabel Tutaine for a free presentation on Tuesday, Aug. 18, at 3 p.m., at the Anderson Inn.
Tutaine will give a lively talk about where novel ideas come from and how they change along the way.
"With humor and insight, she traces the evolution of her first novel from a bodice ripper into a story about forgiveness, and her second from the moment a 19th‑century sea captain appeared in her imagination to a deeper exploration of how people can outgrow the assumptions they were raised with," said a Quarry Hill news release. "Part stand‑up comedy, part literary commentary, the talk offers an accessible, engaging look at the creative process."
Part of Quarry Hill’s enrichment series for adults age 50 and better, this event is free; however, advance registration is required. To sign up, call Quarry Hill at 301‑6116 or email qhinfo@mainehealth.org.
