'Jacob McCurdy and His Large Adult Sons' to perform lawn concert at Rockland library

Thursday, July 30, 2026 - 06:00 pm"Jacob McCurdy and His Large Adult Sons" will perform in a lawn concert at the Rockland Public Library, on Thursday, July 30, at 6 p.m.
"Mustachioed Mainer, Jacob McCurdy, blends folk, rock, and roots into his very own brand of indie-Americana," said a Rockland Public Library news release. McCurdy wears his heart on his sleeve, captivating audiences with honest lyricism and soulful melodies. Through collaborative songwriting and a commitment to authenticity, he shares his songs with the hope that others can heal from his experiences and enjoy a glimpse of what the future might bring."
Currently His Large Adult Sons are:
Alex Calabrese (Old Tom and The Lookouts)- Bass/Vocals (Alex has writing and production credits on almost every song that McCurdy has written since 2020)
Jonathan Clement - Drums/Vocals (Jonathan helped McCurdy re-write "To Be Found" and also plays drums and sings as a fellow dapper gent in The Dapper Gents)
Mike Maurice - Keys/vocals (Mike has his own music and co-wrote "Trouble” with McCurdy)
Xander Nelson - Lead Guitar/vocals (Xander is known for his own original music and slays on guitar for Toby McAlister and The Sierra Sounds)
Dylan Sorenson - Saxophone (You’ll hear Dylan all over McCurdy’s latest releases and he is the original Large Adult Son as he came up with the name)
"All ages are invited to bring your picnic blankets and lawn chairs from home and join us on the library lawn for what’s sure to be a fun evening," said RPL.
This event is free and open to the public.
The rain date for the concert is Tuesday, August 4, at 6 p.m.
