The Riley School and Penobscot Bay Language School will hold an inaugural Multicultural Festival, a vibrant community celebration of cultures from around the world. The free event will take place Saturday, July 18, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., on the Riley School campus.

The Multicultural Festival will bring together families, educators, students, and community members for a day of cultural exploration and connection through live performances, interactive workshops, international food, music, art, and hands-on activities representing traditions from around the globe.

"Designed to celebrate the diversity that enriches our community, the festival offers opportunities for attendees of all ages to experience new cultures, learn from one another, and foster meaningful connections across languages and backgrounds," said a Riley School news release.

"This festival reflects our shared belief that learning extends far beyond the classroom," said Annie Hasselgren, Head of School. "By bringing people together through music, food, language, and the arts, we hope to inspire curiosity, understanding, and a deeper appreciation for the many cultures that make our communities stronger."

Highlights of the festival include:

The event is open to the public, and admission is free. Community members are encouraged to bring family and friends to enjoy this unique celebration of global cultures in Midcoast Maine.
