'Native Trees and Shrubs for Birds' talk at Merryspring

Tuesday, August 18, 2026 - 12:00 pmSharon Turner will lead an outdoor presentation on "Native Trees and Shrubs for Birds" on Tuesday, Aug. 18, at 12 p.m., at Merryspring Nature Center.
Sharon Turner, of Crystal Lake Farm & Nursery, will speak about some of the popular native trees and shrubs that birds can nest and feed in. A short walk to the garden area will follow to discuss the various plants in Merryspring’s Native Tree and Shrub Border.
This in-person talk is part of the Summer Talk Series co-sponsored by Reny’s – A Maine Adventure and Camden Riverhouse Hotel.
Attendance is free for members; $10 for non-members.
Merryspring is your community nature center offering walking trails, cultivated gardens, wildlife, and ecology and horticulture educational programs all year round. The park is located at the end of Conway Road, just off of Route 1 in Camden behind Hannaford Shopping Plaza.
