Sophie Davis, Luke Fatora to play duets on violin, viola at Searsmont free concert

Searsmont Town Library hosts a special intimate and laid-back in-library concert on Tuesday, Aug. 18, at 3 p.m., featuring Sophie Davis and Luke Fatora playing duets on violin and viola.
Davis and Fatora are Midcoast-based violinists, violists, filmmakers, and educators. As a duo, their performances feature a wide variety of music including many of their own arrangements.
"Inspired by song and folk melodies from around the world, their music is a joyful and creative blend of classical music and traditional tunes," said a Library news release.
In addition to performing throughout Maine, Davis and Fatora are independent filmmakers, co-artistic directors of Halcyon Music, and serve on the faculty at the Bay Chamber Music School.
The concert series is made free to the public by the generosity of the Onion Foundation, the Friends of Searsmont Library, and fundraising by the library's Board of Trustees.
