Book binding workshop, poetry reading from Midcoast Poetry Journal 3rd volume
On Friday, May 15, join the Jackson Memorial Library for a celebration of books and poetry with two events.
From 3 to 5 p.m., the library will host a Book Binding Workshop with Len Germinara of the Midcoast Poetry Calendar and the Midcoast Poetry Journal.
Participants will learn a simple DIY process to create handmade, “perfect bound” paperback books, according to the Library, in a news release. The workshop is free of charge. The library asks attendees to register ahead at (207) 372-8961.
Then in the evening, from 6 to 8 p.m., the library will host a poetry reading in celebration of the Midcoast Poetry Journal’s publication of its third volume. Contributors will share their poems, followed by an open mic open to all. Light refreshments will be served.
