Warren elects Joshua Blackman to RSU 40 school board seat

    WARREN — On June 13, Warren voters went to the polls to tend to the first part of their annual town meeting business, the election of municipal and school officials, and the consideration of the RSU 40 $34 million school budget. On June 20, they will reconvene in person for annual town meeting at the Warren Masonic Hall, at 7 p.m., and consider municipal business.

    At the June 13 polls, 393 voters cast ballots, electing Roger Peabody to the Board of Selectmen with 305 votes, and Wayne Luce, with 306 votes.

    They also elected Joshua Blackman to the RSU 40 School Board with 200 votes. Opponent Christopher Donlin received 74 votes and Morgan Hynd, 111.

    Mark Waltz, 303 votes, Lisa Bailey, 302 votes, and Andrew Field, 317 votes, were elected to the Warren Sanitary District.

    Warren voters also approved the SAD 40 school budget, 222 to 164.
