The Belfast Veterans of Foreign Wars provides the following events planned for Memorial Weekend 2026.

Friday, May 22 -Flag Placement in Grove Cemetery at 930 a.m. with students from local schools - Veterans and Community Volunteers will help students place American Flags on the final resting place of Veterans and first responders.

May 25 - Memorial Day Events Start at 9 am at the POW/MIA monument near the East Side Foot Bridge with prayer, 21 gun salute and TAPS, followed by services at the American Legion then the VFW on Field Street.

At 10 a.m. Services will be held in Grove Cemetery at the 3 monuments beginning at the one nearest the high school, then beside the Cemetery Garage / building, then concluding at the "Namesakes" near the main entrance.

At 1030 we will line up for the Memorial Day Parade, beginning our first steps at 11 a.m.

Final remarks / assembly at the waterfront following the parade.
