    BELFAST — The Waldo County Sheriff’s Department reported the following activity Feb. 23 - March 11. 

    An arrest or summons does not constitute a conviction, and those charged are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Juveniles aged 17-or-younger are not named.

    Feb. 23

    Richard J. Cameo, 36, of Washington, was issued a summons for operating an unregistered motor vehicle on Trues Pond Road in Liberty.

    Feb. 25

    Joshua Chase, 37, of Pittsfield, was issued a summons for operating after suspension on N. Horseback Road in Burnham.

    March 6

    Stephen Smith, 35, of Brooks, was arrested for failure to appear. Smith was also issued summonses for operating with an expired license (over 90 days) and attaching false plates on Belfast Road in Knox. 

    March 7

    Aaron Drew, 25, of Knox, was issued a summons for theft by unauthorized taking or transfer on Flat Road in Knox, stemming from an incident Feb. 13. 

    March 11

    Jason Cunningham, 37, of Prospect, was arrested for aggravated assault on N. Searsport Road in Prospect.
