At a time when partisan politics too often dictate how our elected officials think and act, Shawn Saindon offers a refreshing alternative for the people of District 44, representing Hope, Union, and Warren.

What appeals to me most about Shawn is his independence. He is running to represent us—not a political party, not a party platform, and not an ideology that demands allegiance. He understands that effective leadership begins with listening to the people you serve, understanding their concerns, and working toward solutions that reflect the needs of the community.

Our district deserves a representative who will take the time to understand the challenges facing our neighbors, listen to differing perspectives, and bring independent thought and sound judgment to Augusta. To the many of you who’ve had conversations with Shawn when he’s knocked on your doors to introduce himself, you know that he is committed to doing just that. He will approach the issues with an open mind, ask thoughtful questions, and advocate for our communities based on what he hears from the people who live here—not simply on what a political party tells him to support.

Independence isn’t just a label. It’s a commitment to thinking for yourself, listening to others, and putting people ahead of politics. I believe Shawn Saindon embodies that commitment.
