The Peace and Justice Group of Waldo County will hold its monthly forum Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2026, at 6 p.m., in the Abbott Room, at Belfast Free Library, to honor Indigenous leadership with a presentation by the co-directors of Niweskok: "From the Stars to the Seeds."
They are a local women and two-spirit led collaboration of food and medicine providers that rematriate Wabanaki life ways “by engaging with our kinship responsibilities and reclaiming traditional foods and healing,” according to a Peace and Justice news release.
"Join us to honor and learn from their work and their vision," said Peace and Justice.
