Senator Pinny Beebe-Center endorses Rhiannon Hampson for Maine House District 43
Maine State Senator Pinny Beebe-Center announced today her endorsement of Rhiannon Hampson in the race for Maine House District 43, citing Hampson’s deep commitment to public service, her extensive policy experience, and her proven record of delivering results for Maine communities.
“Rhiannon Hampson is exactly the kind of leader we need serving Knox County in Augusta,” said Senator Beebe-Center. “She understands the everyday struggles of working families because she has lived them, and she has spent her career fighting to make government more responsive, more effective, and more accountable to the people it serves."
Hampson, a Thomaston farmer, small business owner, former congressional staff member, and former USDA Rural Development State Director for Maine, has built her campaign around addressing affordable housing, food insecurity, rising energy costs, healthcare access, and economic opportunity for rural Mainers.
“As a dairy farmer and public servant, Rhiannon knows firsthand the challenges facing our district,” Beebe-Center continued. “She also brings an extraordinary level of policy knowledge and practical leadership that will allow her to hit the ground running on behalf of Thomaston, So. Thomaston, Owl’s Head, St. George, and Cushing”
During her tenure at USDA Rural Development, Hampson oversaw more than $1 billion in investments into Maine communities through affordable housing, renewable energy, municipal infrastructure, public safety support, and rural economic development initiatives.
The endorsement adds to growing momentum behind the Hampson campaign as voters across House District 43 look for experienced, solutions focused leadership in Augusta.
