I am urging voters to join with me to support Josh Gerritsen to represent Camden and Rockport as our representative in Augusta.

Josh grew up here and has a long record of serving the people of the Midcoast. He knows how to listen and how to work with his neighbors to get things done. He understands the importance of building community and the broad range of needs of our community- including workforce housing, early childhood care and education, affordable and accessible health care and maintaining a healthy environment in the face of change.

I got to know Josh through our common interest in community-sustaining local businesses.  On his own initiative Josh produced a documentary film about TimberHP, a start-up company making insulation from wood fiber in an abandoned paper mill in Madison, Maine.  Josh thoughtfully told the story of how Maine’s sustainable building materials can not only improve the quality of our housing stock, but can help sustain a community. 

Josh believes, as I do, that we don't have to choose between a thriving economy, vibrant and protected ecosystems, and inclusive communities. We can and must achieve balance in sustaining the planet and providing a good place for people of all incomes to live productively, proudly, and happily.
