Josh Gerritsen brings the right balance of bold vision and practical leadership
I support Josh Gerritsen for State House representing Camden and Rockport because he offers a progressive agenda backed by a record of experience and accomplishment.
Josh is focused on the issues that matter most to working families: housing, health care, child care, and climate resilience. He understands that too many Mainers are being priced out of the communities they love. He supports building more homes by simplifying permitting and expanding water and sewer infrastructure so young families, workers, and seniors can afford to stay here. He has also called for stronger regulation of short-term rentals and higher taxes on second homes so local housing serves residents first.
He believes health care should be affordable and accessible to everyone, which is why he supports moving Maine toward a Medicare for All system. He also supports universal pre-K and affordable childcare so families are not forced to choose between work and raising their children. Josh also believes wealthy individuals and large corporations should pay their fair share so the burden does not continue to fall on middle-class Mainers.
What makes Josh especially strong is that he has already proven leadership in public service. He served six years on the Lincolnville Select Board, chaired the Waldo County Budget Committee, and worked on major issues including broadband expansion, solid waste management, and environmental planning. He understands how government works and how to turn ideas into action.
Josh brings the right balance of bold vision and practical leadership. The Democratic primary is June 9. Please join me in voting for Josh Gerritsen for State House and help send a strong voice for progress to Augusta.
