Women in Trails panel in Rockland presented by Georges River Land Trust
Event Date
Thursday, May 07, 2026 - 06:30 pmRockland – Join Georges River Land Trust and the Rockland Public Library for a panel discussion with women trails professionals in the Midcoast on Thursday, May 7, at 6:30 p.m. Hear from three Midcoast land stewardship professionals about their experience as women in the trail-building and trail-maintaining space. Learn about the many paths that can lead you to trail work, what trail work can look like, and the ample opportunities to get involved in trail work on local conserved lands.
Trail-building professionals aim to make nature accessible to community members of all identities and abilities through their work, according to GRTL, in a news release. As this field has been historically male-dominated, this panel offers an opportunity for women working on trails in the Midcoast to share their experiences, with the hope that other women will see themselves represented and feel inspired to join the field.
This discussion will be moderated by Isabella Childs Michael from Georges River Land Trust, and will include panelists Bell Moroney from Coastal Rivers Land Trust, Kelsie Daigle from The Nature Conservancy of Maine, and Morganne Price from Midcoast Conservancy.
This event will take place at the Rockland Public Library and is free and open to everyone.
