CAMDEN — Ruth Tillstrom, nee Foradora, 95, passed away on July 16, 2026, in Rockport. Born October 23, 1930, in New Rochelle, New York to Samuel and Mary Foradora, Ruth lived a spiritual life dedicated to her beloved late husband, Carl, and seven children.

Ruth graduated from New Rochelle High School in 1948 and received her RN degree from St. Vincents (NYU) before marrying Carl Tillstrom in 1953. They had seven children: Robert (Louise), Susan (William) Wincklhofer of Rockport, Peter (Claudia), Diane (Phil), Karen (Bob), David, and John (Sharon).

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; and sons Robert and David; as well as her sister Marylou. 

Ruth worked at the Carrier Clinic and later served as Directress of Nursing at Wesley Manor in Ocean City, New Jersey. She had high standards and expectations and was honored by Wesley Manor for having several consistent years with no deficiencies from the state of New Jersey. Ruth and Carl lived in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey and after retirement moved to Camden.

A celebration of live will be held for Ruth on August 15, 2026, at 12 p.m., at Mountain Grove Cemetery in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
