MONTVILLE — Scott L. Davis, 56, died peacefully, yet unexpectedly, surrounded by his loving family at Maine Medical Center in Portland, on July 19, 2026.

Born in Camden on May 17, 1970, he was the son of Walter Davis, Jr. and Edith "Joanne" Leonard Davis. He was educated locally and attended Rockland High School.

A hard worker from a young age, Scott began his career in local factories cutting fish before moving on to a career as a delivery driver. He earned his truck driving license in 1991 and spent many years driving for Dead River Company, delivering propane throughout the region.

Scott loved the open road, especially astride his Harley. He cherished trips to Laconia with his fiancée and took great pride in working on and fixing up his bike, it truly was his pride and joy. He loved being surrounded by family and friends, hosting cookouts, and was rarely seen without his beloved bulldog, Winston, by his side.

Scott was sometimes rough around the edges, but he was a big teddy bear at heart, always ready to help anyone in need. He could be outspoken when he wanted to be, but was just as often quiet and kept to himself. Once you got to know him, you'd discover his quick, dry wit that kept everyone around him laughing.

Scott will be sadly missed by all who loved him.

Predeceased by his parents; his paternal grandparents, Walter and Mildred Davis; his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Barbara Leonard; Scott is survived by his fiancée, Shawnna Drayton of Montville; his children, Brandon Davis and his fiancée Alex Jamieson of Montville, Marina Incashola-Welton of Nobleboro, Baylee Davis and his fiancé, Jack MacDonald of Portland; his siblings, Barbie Davis-Rose and her husband Bill of Englewood, Florida, Joe Davis and his fiancée Michelle Witham of Jefferson; one grandchild, Kilian Jackson; and many nieces, nephews and a large loving extended family.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, from 2 to 4 p.m., at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock Street, Rockland, where a time of open sharing will begin at 3 p.m.

Scott will be laid to rest privately at a later date.
