Midcoast Rec will cut the ribbon for the new Camden National Bank Pickleball Center, January 29, 2026, at 5 p.m.
After raising funds for years and nearly a year of construction the project will be complete by the end of this month, according to Midcoast Rec, in a news release. The moment will be celebrated with a brief reception including remarks from Founder Rick Bresnahan, Board President Barrett Brown, Executive Director Grace Chen, and Pickleball Director Anne Aldridge-Peacock. The moment will be celebrated with a toast, official ribbon cutting, and a first serve. Optional informal play welcome.
"I have been so amazed and grateful for the generosity of our community who have come together to make this moment possible. We're honored to open a pickleball center that, in addition to all of the other improvements we are making, solidifies our place as Maine's premier sports and recreation facility," says Grace Chen, Executive Director, in the news release. "This is not just about new buildings, though. This campaign has been about growing opportunities for our extended community to connect through play."
