On Monday, April 13, 2026, at approximately 6:08 p.m., Troopers from Maine State Police Central Field Troop responded to Route 1 in Stockton Springs for a report of a head-on collision involving two vehicles.

Preliminary investigation shows that a truck driven Adam Sorrentino, 42, of Belfast, was traveling westbound when he struck an eastbound Subaru Forester driven byAnne Pomroy, 77, of Old Orchard Beach, according to an April 14 MSP news release.

Ms. Pomroy suffered serious injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Mr. Sorrentino was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
