Medomak middle school girls soccer earns shutout victory
WISCASSET — The Medomak middle school girls soccer team traveled Wednesday, Sept. 21 to Wiscasset, where the visiting Riverhaws earned a shutout victory.
What a surprise day for soccer, it was more summer like then the last few cool fall days. What a great day for soccer. The MMS girls were ready and able to find the net and were able to bring home a victory vs. Wiscasset.
Five goals were tallied by four different Medomak players in the opening half to make it a 5-0 contest at halftime: Grace Townsend, Cali Readinger on a penalty kick, Grace Havener and two by Rachel Barbour (one assisted by Jennika Schumann).
In the second half, Kendall Wymann and Skyler Flint tallied goals for Medomak to make it a 7-0 victory for the Riverhawks.
